The plastic Surgery also deals with congenital abnormalities, trauma, burns as well as cosmetic surgery, including liposuction

• Orthopaedic Surgery
The Orthopaedic Surgery deals with the ordinary Orthopaedic problem in addition to arthroplasties.
• Vascular Surgery
The Vascular surgery deals with all pathological problems of the blood vessels and reconstuctive vascular surgery
• Neurosurgery, ENT and Ophthalmology
Departments provide very important services within the hospital.
- Neurosurgery deals with pathology in the C.N.S and also the victims of trauma.
- ENT unit deals with all diseases involving the ear, nose and throat.
- Opthalmology serves the diseased eyes.

The Department of Laboratory Medicine provides a comprehensive diagnostic Laboratory services for all in-patient and out-patient in all disciplines of Clinical Laboratory. The following are the sections:

Each section according to Database is headed by a qualified Consultant Pathologist, a Medical Laboratory Technologist Supervisor and staffed by a number of qualified Medical Laboratory technologists.

THe Haematology section runs a busy out-patient clinic including an anti-Coagulation clinic.
All Consultant Staff provide Clinical Consultations.
The Laboratory provides a 24 hrs. service / 16 hrs. stat. service and 8 hrs. on-call Services.

The department treats dental cases including orthodontic, fixtures and pedodontics, a total of 20 dentist's chair will be added to the department.

The diagnostic Radiology department renders its services to all the outpatients and inpatients of KFMMC.
The Ministry of Defence and Aviation in Saudi Arabia has provided the Department with the latest modern technological equipment of General Radiology, CT Scan, Ultrasound, M.R.I., and D.S.A.
A total of 2600 patients visit the Department every month for different radiological examinations. The department includes a number of 14 Radiological equipment, 5X-Ray equipment, 3 Ultra sound dopplar, 2 CT Scan equipment and 1 MRI equipment

The department includes: Endocrinology, Digestive system. Tropical Medicine, Psychiatry and Neurology diseases..

The Department is located in Level 4. There are 32 Pediatric beds. The NICU can accommodate 14 neonates and ventilate 10 babies. SCBU can accommodate 10 babies. Children needing intensive care are admitted in adult ICU and managed by pediatricians. each consultant has 2 clinics a week. The department is recognised for Saudi Board and Arab Board Training Programme. The training teaching activities are published monthly.

Kidney Transplantation started in 1412-H (1992G) in KFMMC.
A total of 130 Kidney transplantation operations have been performed up to date in KFMMC. The
Nephrology Department in KFMMC acts as a referral center. All the Eastern Province hospitals refer the Saudi
renal failure cases to KFMMC.

Teh medical Records Department is an important and essential hub for the access to and the maintenance of the patient's record. It was percieved as the patient's hospital-based agent for protecting confidentiality issues.
The Medical Record Department's responsibilities include:
- Determine the classification of information - public, internal, confidential, and registerd confidential.
- Authorize access to the information.
- Implement controls to protect the information.
The Medical Record Department shall provide 24-hour staff coverage or access to the medical record files on a 24-hour basis while maintaining the security of the medical records. The medical record functions shall include at least the accuracy, completeness, and timeless with which personnel:
- File reports within the medical records
- File or retrieve medical reports.
- Transcribe medical reports.
- Release medical information or reports in response to requests.
- Analyze records for completeness, currency, authentication, and legibility.
- Abstract, code, and index medical records and
- Prepare statistical reports.
Preamble
The medical record department shall maintain all patient medical records, shall ensure their confidentiality, security , and ready accessbility, and shall monitor all medical records to ensure their completeness, timeless, authentication, and legibility.
